I was approached in early February of 2008, to investigate a way to de-frost and thaw, frozen barrels of product and make ready this product for batching. The fact that Naked Juice was commissioned by Starbucks coffee company to produce a smoothie-drink-product, only severed to acerbate the problem. Naked Juice was already running at maximum capacity and was desperately looking for a way to shorten the time it takes to thaw the barrels of frozen product.
After Managers and Engineers from Naked Juice and Tropicana where unable to solve the problem, I developed a method and a process that does that and much more.
I demonstrated the process, to Phil Price (Naked Juice Production Supervise) and showed how to
thaw a drum ( 55 gallon) of frozen product in five (5) minutes.
I sent an E-mail to the Management of Naked Juice Company (see below), and for some unexplained
reason, they did not respond. After Naked Juice showed no interest, I consulted with Priority Staffing
( my employer), to make clear what company policy was and ask them permission to apply for a patent.
